About Me

Welcome to my world of art! My name is Monica Saulmon, and I'm an impressionist painter with a passion for capturing the beauty of landscapes.

I was born and raised in South Korea, where I developed a deep appreciation for art from a young age. Despite initially pursuing a career in fashion design, my heart was always drawn to the world of painting. In 1987, I made the life-changing decision to move to California after getting married. While raising two wonderful daughters and balancing a career in the insurance industry, my love for art never waned.

The works of Claude Monet, Van Gogh, Berthe Morisot, Henri Matisse, Edgar Degas, Camille Pissarro, Alfred Sisley, and Mary Cassatt have always held a special place in my heart. Their ability to infuse emotional depth and beauty into impressionistic landscapes has been a constant source of inspiration for me. Their mastery of light, color, and texture continues to guide my own artistic journey.

Today, with the unwavering support of my family and a rekindled dedication to my craft, I have returned to my true passion for drawing and painting. Through my art, I strive to evoke the same sense of wonder and tranquility that nature instills in me.

Thank you for joining me on this artistic adventure. I hope my paintings bring you joy and inspiration, as they have brought me endless fulfillment.

Warm regards,

Monica Saulmon
